About Us

Our Mission

The Adult College provides lifelong learning opportunities for the community of Barking and Dagenham, to enable the development of knowledge, skills, judgement and creativity throughout adult life.

Employability and Student Services Team

Our Employability Team co-ordinates all apprenticeships and employability courses working holistically with our student services.  Student services provide a range of support from general advice to specific help with learning, fees, childcare and other course related costs.  This person centred approach effectively supports learners throughout their college life and at the times that they need it most.  We give learners every opportunity to feel safe, secure and to be able to succeed regardless of circumstances.

Apprenticeships

We successfully facilitate learners through a variety of apprenticeships and developed very close relationships with a large number of businesses.

If you would like to find out if an apprenticeship is right for you, click here or to see what some of our apprentices have said about us click here.

Courses to help get you get job ready!

We also run a variety of FREE short courses, throughout the year, open to all to help you get that job.

Our learners have told us that the courses improved their self esteem, confidence and gave them the tools to plan and prepare a way forward.
